Welcome to Living Dead Press’ first contest, with more to come in the future.
This contest if here for one reason…to get the word out about LDP books.
What you win is books, so we hope you want to participate.
All you need to do to be part of this contest is to read LDP books and go on Amazon, Goodreads and Barnes and Noble and leave a review, so if you are already a fan of LDP, then you’re already there! The top five people who leave the most reviews will win two LDP books each. They will get to pick from a list of books when the contest is over. (Only what’s on the list will be eligible. It’s a good list, though.)
But we’re not done yet. Another top five runner-ups will also get one LDP book each, but we get to pick the one we want to send you, though you are welcome to say what you already have in your collection or have read so you don’t get a double. We’ll try anyway.
Now only one thing needs to be adhered to. No pandering or lying, please. We want constructive reviews of LDP books you have ‘actually’ read. If you want to give the book 3 out of 5 stars then so be it, just be constructive and positive and make sure to add a few things that came from the book so we know it’s a legitimate review. So you don’t have to be all, “I loved it so much!” Just say what you enjoyed and didn’t enjoy, and hopefully others will read it and want to give the book a try for themselves. Any that come off as totally false will not count, and come on, you know the ones we’re talking about. And there is no word count on these reviews. If a hundred words is all you want to put and it gets the point across, no problem, though more in-depth ones are better. Just try not to give the ending to the book away, please? That sucks when people do that.
And no, we don’t want negative reviews. Kind of defeats the point of this contest, wouldn’t it?
At the deadline, you need to send us a link so we can check out each person’s collection of reviews and you do need to send us a tally at the same time.
Do this either by Facebook or going right to the LDP site and contacting us through there if you want.
Any reviews that are already posted are not valid, only new reviews as of this posting.
So get out there and leave some reviews and let others know how much you like LDP books, and get some swag for yourself at the same time!
Deadline for this contest is July 1st, 2011. Books will be mailed to winners in the second week of July.
US residents ONLY!
